An alcohol-based, wash-free formula
Moo goo normally make natural products for people with skin problems. But during this emergency, they turned some manufacturing to an Alcohol handwashing gel to address the national shortage. They have used Australian grain alcohol, not imported.
Pure alcohol isn’t actually that effective. It needs to be mixed with water. The Government recommends using between 60% and 90% alcohol for best effectiveness. We are using 63% to maximize efficacy while minimizing the stripping of moisture from the hands.
They have combined it with Aloe Vera to help soothe the hands and Glycerin for moisturising. We are limited in our choices here as some additives can compromise efficacy.
Ingredients: Ethanol (Australian Grain Distilled), Water, Glycerol, Carbomer, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera), Triethanolamine.
Directions: Apply to palms. Rub for 30 to 60 seconds or until your hands are dry. Take note to ensure coverage over fingernails and between fingers. It can take at least 60 seconds, and sometimes longer, for hand sanitiser to kill most germs. Patch test for allergies before use.
